Anne Hutchinson was kicked out of the Massachusetts Bay Colony on March 22nd along with many other historical events as Russ Mitchell recaps for us in this video clip from This Day in History. Another event was the British Stamp Act was passed. The Stamp Act affected the American colonies greatly, and led to much of the colonists rebellion against the British. Also, the first Stanley Cup Championship game was played in Montreal, which ended in the defeat of Ottawa with a score of Montreal three and Ottawa one. The Senate also passed the constitutional amendment that would guarantee women with equal rights, but it had yet to be ratified to become a law.
